World Economy 2011
Wednesday, February 23rd, 2011After investigating both parties, the United Nations website and the website for the World Economic Forum, I recommend that you examine both. They are very good prospects of social and economic development of human civilization, that is, after all the context in which we all live and work.
Both have similar views, with a different accent. The UN is focused on achieving the Millennium Development Goals and the improvement of global governance. The World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland during the last week had a risk assessment for our global economy for 2011, the four main areas of risk management services.
Economic inequality, global governance, corruption and global warming, food, water, energy nexus issues. Each of these areas of risk management, a number of problems.
Economic inequality is comprised of various levels of progress between different nations and different levels of advancement within nations. Apparently, the most advanced nations is slowly recovering from the economic crisis of 2008, compared to developing countries like China, India and Brazil, are growing again.
This is a good thing in my opinion, because the first nations in developing a par with the developed countries, the sooner we can start to grow all together as a world federation of nations.
The question of global governance is to develop a set of universal principles that we all our development in local, national and international economic and social relations and in our personal, social and international, may instead follow strict rules and regulations.
Corruption is the linkage of drugs, crime and terrorism and all forms of corruption in business and administration. Education and training seems to be the primary solution, because we can not really enforce the honesty, for example. Transparency is a fundamental principle. everything in the open and prevent corruption.
Climate change, food, water and energy nexus with the interrelationship of these problems. All influence each other. The solution is always with everyone, including corporations, governments and non-governmental organizations of civil society to start thinking about sustainable development, as the normal development of intelligence.
The United Nations is working hard to achieve his goal of eradicating extreme poverty by 2015. Education and training are the most important strategy for achieving this goal. The UN seems much more on the poor and disaster relief focuses, as it should be. It is constantly putting out fires in our international relations, in his role as our organization peacekeeping.
In reality, the feeling seems to be the leader that the problems are global and require global solutions. There are networks of large and diverse networks together to improve human nature and human civilization forward. And we are successful.
While there are serious problems we must solve the undeniable historical reality is that we are making progress. Human civilization is much more prosperous now than during the 20th Century. And while there are still some serious shortcomings in the equitable distribution of wealth is prosperity, spreading more and more of the people of the earth.
Economics is a science. As we make progress in biology and medicine, physics and astronomy, engineering and technology, we are making great strides of progress in our social and economic development. We have to go a long way. In fact, no matter how advanced we are, there will always be able to learn and improve ourselves, individually and collectively.
To move forward in an orderly manner, we need a balance between material and spiritual progress. Just as the founding fathers of the United States, where citizens democracy requires religious, our citizens and citizens of the world requires an education universal and divine.
I know that this is a sensitive issue. However, the only true source of these universal principles we all agree and can form the basis on which we can all related to the other, are the spiritual principles that the heart and foundation of every religion. As a golden rule, do to others what you have done to you. Every religion teaches that the principle in one form or another.
While we want to be cautious and to avoid discussing and arguing religion, we must consult with one another respectfully about their role in our global society.
The human race is set. The United Nations is the greatest civilization that has ever existed on Earth. Not even the twentieth century in America is approaching the booming prosperity of today’s universal common prosperity. Unite all people of all nations, races and religions to a universal civilization and divine.
